User Settings#

Available to any signed-in user, Viewer or Admin.

Appearance#

Theme — Light, Dark, or System. Stored in localStorage; per device, not synced across a user’s sessions.

Map layers#

Which basemaps are enabled, the active basemap choice, and per-layer color correction (saturation/contrast/brightness). Also where a custom tile URL can be added. Stored per device — see Map Tools.

Data#

Clear local cache — wipes the local flight-data cache and re-downloads everything from the server. Wingbeat keeps a full local copy of flight data for speed; this is the escape hatch if that local copy ever looks wrong or stale.

Admin Settings#

Only visible to users with the Admin role. Split across the main Settings panel and a separate Global Settings screen.

Fleet management#

In the main Settings panel, Admins get add/edit controls (Viewers see the lists read-only):

Aircraft — add, edit, or deactivate. See Fleet Management and Maintenance Tracking for what an aircraft entry carries.
Pilots — add, edit, or deactivate. Never hard-deleted.
Trackers — add, edit, pause, or soft-delete. See Fleet Management for how to get a MapShare URL.

Overlays#

In the main Settings panel, Admins get add/edit/delete controls for tenant tile overlays (Viewers see the list read-only, same as Aircraft/Pilots above). Each overlay needs a {z}/{x}/{y} tile URL, an on/off default, and optionally a per-basemap override of that default. See Map Tools for how overlays behave for viewers.
